Kabini/Coorg

KABINI:

Thanks to Aman for the photo I hijacked...

Needless to say, Kabini was beautiful. I think Meaghan's leading the pack in this picture with her famous topknot bun.

We did two safaris here, though, I opted to sleep through the morning one. And, it must be said that our group's biggest siting was the other group onshore in a jeep as we road by in the boat. The other group, however, spotted a baby elephant AND... drum roll... a tiger. We saw a wild dog and some elephants, and more than enough spotted deer to suit me a lifetime of spotted deer.

Despite our lack of sitings, the safari was still tremendous. I give it two thumbs up... though, the thumbs may have been more ecstatic if we'd seen a tiger...

COORG:
I do have to say that Coorg was my favorite. Coffee Country. (thanks, again, to Aman for the picture...) Sidenote: The thing I love most about this picture is Tyler and Meaghan trying to get that purple flower at just the right angle and Alexa looking like she wants to give guidance on the matter.

The sad part about all this picture hijacking is that I dropped my phone with all my videos and pictures of this part of the trip in a squatty potty. Yep.

I retrieved it with bitter-sweet regret, but it still won't turn on. I'm afraid it obtained the Bends after such a daring dive in the depths, and no decompression chamber, rice bath, or oxygen pump will save it.

Jillian's IPhone: RIP

I think I should probably take a moment to thank all the individuals who helped me during the Squatty Adventure:

Alexa, first and foremost, for her infinite supply of Baby Wipes.
The Naturalist (I still don't know his name despite a full day together) for the souvenir bag I used to barrier my hand against all things unholy, though, I'm quite sure the bag was made for jewelry or something equally as tiny.
Sophia for lending me a hand so I didn't face plant into the dreaded hole of death.
Meaghan for her cinematography so I'll never forget the Squatty Adventure.
And all the good peoples who consoled me with, "Wait... didn't you have an IPhone 4?? It wasn't even a 4S!" --yes, thanks to those people too.

By the by, I had a pretty rad video of Touch Me Nots folding up that I took on this very walk. But I guess you'll just have to Google Touch Me Nots instead of watching my video.
